Experience:
Throughout the semester, I was continuously involved in the entire research
process, from writing the initial draft, literature review, refining the
methodology and discussion sections, to the final paper, visual design, and
journal article preparation. Through weekly writing and revisions, I
gradually completed the paper's structure and continuously adjusted the
content, format, and research depth under the guidance of my lecturer.
Furthermore, in later assignments, I combined visual design with research
writing, gaining more comprehensive practical experience in cover design,
image usage, and academic standards. This process not only trained my
research skills but also familiarized me with the complete process of
academic paper submission, from draft to final submission.
Observation
During the repeated revisions, I observed that my understanding of
academic paper formatting, citation conventions, and structural logic was
still immature in the early stages, particularly in areas such as
insufficient citations, non-standard formatting, and a lack of depth in
discussion. The instructor's feedback was very specific, not only pointing
out the problems but also helping me understand the standard requirements
of academic writing through examples, PPT guidance, and written
annotations. Furthermore, I realized that academic writing is not merely
about completing content; it also requires a high degree of rigor in
details such as heading hierarchy, table of contents alignment, APA
citation order, and image labeling.
Finding
Through this series of revisions and improvements, I gradually realized
that academic research writing is a gradual and continuously corrective
process. A clear structure, standardized format, and a close connection
between data and research questions are the core of a qualified research
paper. At the same time, I also deeply appreciated the importance of
following templates and academic norms, which not only improves the
professionalism of the paper but also enhances the credibility of the
research. Ultimately, through repeated adjustments, I improved my
independent research and academic writing skills, laying a more solid
foundation for future graduation theses or journal submissions.
