The blog must contain all the work done and completed for this module, along with a final reflection.

WORK PROGRESS: Discuss and show your progress to your lecturer to get approval each week. Your weekly attendance will be marked upon consultation.

In your Task 3 Development & Design post in the blog:

1. A recap of Task 3 brief.
2. Select one of the 3 ideas you proposed in Task 2.
3. Develop it through colour exploration, composition, typeface, positioning, etc., with design principles in mind.
4. Finalise your idea.
5. Create your final design in A4 size, JPEG format in at least 300dpi pixel size. Label the design as <Your Name_Title of Design_Task 3>
6. Write a 200-word rationale explaining/defending: i) the decisions made in your design, ii.) the meaning/purpose of the design and iii) the design principles that are employed to create the design.

This design sketch is based on the previously selected poster for relevant design work.
  • Color Exploration:
The colors in this design photo are contrasting and I think the green and red colors come together and clash, but there is a noticeable difference without disturbing the balance. Adding such a color contrast on a black background enriches the overall composition.
  • Composition:
According to the original design, they emphasize the central character, infusing his character with depth and complexity. The addition of each clown image enhances the background and content, ensuring that the black background is not monotonous, but includes the body and a sense of scale.
  • Typography:
The font on the form is large and clear, ensuring easy reading. It matches the name of the actor playing it. Because the film is foreign, the title is in English with subtitles that can be adapted in different places. The characters fit the thematic content of the film and convey its meaning well. The typography and spatial organization are well done, and the font gives an appropriate sense of power and strength to the content.

This choice was made in Task 2, and the rationale for this illustration is that the resulting image meets the desired requirements of rich material without being too stereotypical or overwhelming the main characters. In the design process, I learned that designs don’t have to be perfect from the start; Continuous review and improvement is required to ensure that the design is inclusive and sustainable. Initially, I included materials about black magic, but they were too small and did not reach the full potential of the content enrichment.

FEEDBACK

The teacher advised that once my poster was finished, I should submit enough drawings to illustrate my idea and the ideas in the poster. In addition, the teacher helped me choose the best curriculum for the class and was very flexible, helping me complete my homework.
