Lecture:
Adobe After Effect
Adobe After Effects is a 2.5D animation software used for animation, visual effects, and motion picture compositing. This software is used in the post-production phase, and has hundreds of effects that can be used to manipulate imagery. This allows you to combine layers of video and images into the same scene.
- Motion graphics animation works by manipulating vector and rasterized art to create and tell a story.
- All the layers need to be arrange and rename accordingly so that it will be organize and easy to be animated in After Effects.
Practical:
In this exercise, we need to create animation designs for our collage work. Mr. Fauzi introduced us to the basics of using Adobe After Effects and how to create animation effects.
Use software to rotate Circle One.
Use software to scale and rotate Circle Two.
Use software to move the small fish up and down.
Use software to render the designed animation.
This is the video that was created.
Feedback:
In this lesson, I learned the basic methods of using the software and discovered that different designs can lead to different effects. The instructor recorded videos for us, which effectively helped us and improved our learning efficiency.
Reflections:
I learned a new software and used it to create a piece of work I am satisfied with. I explored different positions, scales, rotations, and transparency transformation techniques. I also learned to use keyframes to make the graphics rotate. Even small adjustments can bring different changes to the animation, allowing me to achieve transformations that I like.
